10 TV Shows That Need To Ditch ONE Thing
6. Time Jumps - House Of The Dragon
HBO's Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon was largely well-received by critics and fans alike, for bringing prestige and quality back to the IP following Thrones' woefully disappointing final season.
It wasn't entirely free of criticisms, though, with some finding the show's use of time jumps excessive.
Throughout the first 10-episode season, four time jumps take place - two massive, two small - totalling around 16 years, which many found jarring and caused the season to feel rushed.
While we know that the central cast is now set and won't be going anywhere any time soon, many fans are hoping that season two and beyond will chill out with the time skips and simply focus on the drama at hand.
This does thankfully appear to be on the cards, as last year showrunner Ryan Condal promised fans that there would be no more substantial time jumps:
"As a reward to our wonderful audience for following us through all the time jumps and recasts, they are done. We tell the story in real time from here forward. The actors are playing these characters until the end. We're not recasting anybody. We're not making any huge jumps forward in time. We are now in the Dance of the Dragons, and we're gonna tell that story."
