10 TV Shows That Need To Ditch ONE Thing
7. The Absent Infected - The Last Of Us
HBO's The Last of Us is without question the greatest video game adaptation of all time - from its casting through to its writing and production values, it gets almost everything right.
But many fans decried the general absence of the Infected throughout the show - Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) only occasionally come across Clickers, with the focus being far more intently on their relationship during their harrowing journey.
After all, given that the Infected are such a huge, pervasive part of the games, for them to take such a backseat in season one was always going to prove divisive.
But in a recent interview with Variety, the show's co-creator Craig Mazin acknowledged the complaints and hinted that season two will likely feature far more Infected:
"It's quite possible that there will be a lot more Infected later. And perhaps different kinds."
Given that The Last of Us Part II is a considerably more intense experience than its predecessor, giving the Infected a far greater presence would certainly make a lot of sense.
