10 TV Shows That Went From Great To Terrible SO FAST

3. Scream

Not unlike fellow teen hit Glee, MTV slasher series Scream had a fun, pacy first series.

Sure, it couldn’t hold a candle to the quick wit, twisty mystery, and unparalleled suspense of its movie inspiration. But for viewers willing to ignore its inspiration (which the show itself was happy to do), Scream was solid and occasionally scary teen thriller which boasted an effective killer reveal.

Did the show over rely on its talented cast? Sure, but standouts like Amadeus Serafini, Bex Taylor-Klaus, and Tom Maden easily kept the series afloat.

... Only for their hard work to be immediately undone by a slow, predictable second instalment which was doomed from its second episode onwards. That interminably slow instalment saw the action grind to a halt, only to suddenly off a fan favourite with no warning or compelling motive.

With a convoluted yet predictable plot, embarrassing production values, and a quickly vanishing cast, this one deserved to die long before its second season ended.
