10 TV Shows That Went From Great To Terrible SO FAST

Oh mega producer Ryan Murphy, will you ever learn?

The Nip/Tuck creator and TV legend is infamous for providing brilliant opening salvos, over complicating his second acts with fan service and knotty sub plots, and eventually breaking fans hearts with a disappointing closer.

Don’t take Glee’s word for it, though—just look at critical reactions to American Horror Story’s Cult, Coven, and Hotel, not to mention the short lived horror comedy Scream Queens.

After a funny, twisty first outing, fans were glad to see this slasher series return for a second season in 2016.

But this time around the show had already killed off a lot of famous faces and superb scene stealers from the first season's cast, such as Ariana Grande, Nasim Pedrad, and Nick Jonas. Meanwhile, the lack of a focused whodunit mystery for the second season soon doomed the series to lackadaisical episodic instalments whose individual plots led nowhere and added up to nothing.

Season one had its moments of cringeworthy fan service, but this one was dead from season two episode one’s opening moments onward.
