10 TV Shows That Were Gone Too Soon

9. Agent Carter

Agent Carter
Marvel Television / Walt Disney Television

Sadly, Marvel's Agent Carter was only given 2 seasons before it was banished to the TV graveyard. Banished, but never forgotten.

Starring Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, the series began with Peggy picking up the pieces of her broken heart, after Steve Rogers (you know, the first Captain America) was presumed dead. We got to watch as she started her journey by working for Howard Stark (Iron Man's father), knowing that this would be the building blocks that would eventually lead to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Agent Carter was a wonderful tale about a woman carving a place for herself in a world that wasn't ready for women to do just that. She was a superhero in her own right, and it's a shame that the network didn't value what the show was building.

Avengers: Endgame saw Peggy as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D, and while that should come as no surprise, it would have been nice for the show to explore just how she got there. Because last we saw, she was making waves in the field but was far off from being the woman in charge.

This one honestly just hurts.
