10 TV Shows Totally In Denial About Being Over

7. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

With its upcoming fifteenth season, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is the longest-running live-action sitcom in American TV history, which is a crazy claim considering how many great sitcoms there have been over the years, and how twisted a show Always Sunny actually is.

Created by star Rob McElhenney, the series follows the lives of five dysfunctional bar owners who are all awful, sociopathic human beings constantly getting in and out of trouble with little consequence for their often deplorable actions.

Unfortunately, despite its place as a cult classic and its increasing popularity, the last few seasons of the show have been underwhelming at best, and downright sloppy at worst, resorting to sequels of fan favourite episodes, repetitive jokes, and even lazy clip shows to fill in the episode count.

Despite its late-era drop in quality, though, It's Always Sunny has actually been renewed through to its eighteenth season, and McElhenney has gone on record more than once to say he's happy making the show forever. Given its latest track record, it just looks like the show is destined to go downhill until it eventually crawls to a stop.
