10 Unanswered Questions About The Office (US)

4. Does Cafe Disco Still Exist?

Widely considered one of the The Office's greatest filler episodes, Cafe Disco implemented a new room to be used as an extension of Dunder Mifflin's Scranton Branch. Borne from the buyout of the competing Michael Scott Paper Company, which then left its "offices" empty when its employees merged back into Dunder Mifflin, Cafe Disco was set to be a terrific new addition that would house different types of shenanigans. Michael Scott had a vision for this dance house/coffee bar and, though it takes some time, the entire office grows to love it. Even Angela. Yet, as all great single-episode sitcom manufacturings eventually do, Cafe Disco goes away. Immediately. It's gone the very next episode and never spoken of again. A room that made such an enormous impact on his children--err, employees--wouldn't have simply been left to fade away. Michael Gary Scott holds onto his accomplishments, no matter how small, and makes monuments of them. He would take every chance to coral the gang together for a dance party or some coffee talk. Then again, it's not entirely out of logic's reach to think that he just forgot about it, basking in the euphoria of his job well done without focusing that proud sentiment on any one thing in particular. But couldn't the writers have given it at least a cursory nod later in the series?
