10 Upcoming Comic Book TV Shows You Need To Know About
8. Legion Of Super-Heroes
Whilst Krypton is at least confirmed as being in development and iZombie is 100% heading to your screen (the first episode is set to air on The CW later this month), plans for DC to bring their Legion Of Super-Heroes back to TV are still very much in the rumour stage. A rumour that's easy to believe, mind, since Warner Bros appears to be looking to their smaller properties for the smaller screen. The DC movies have heavy hitters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and, er, Cyborg, whilst television is the perfect context for lesser-known characters. Legion Of Super-Heroes was once of DC's biggest names...quite a long time ago. If the general audience remembers them for anything now, it's for the 2006 animated series. Which only lasted two seasons, and doesn't tend to be remembered even by most geeks. So the stage is ripe for a live action Legion do-over, as the rumours suggest, with DC looking to cash in on the goodwill surrounding Marvel's similarly cosmic Guardians Of The Galaxy with this team of far-out, space-faring superheroes in the 31st century.
