10 Upcoming New Comic Book TV Shows To Be Excited About

5. Zack Snyder's Justice League

Batman Zack Snyder's Justice League Snyder Cut
Warner Bros.

Justice League earned itself a place among the most disappointing movies of all time when it was released back in 2017. While previous DCEU entries had been hit and miss, this one just kind of languished in mediocrity because of studio interference, behind-the-scenes tension and the conflicting styles of directors Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon.

Now the former gets the chance to put things right by releasing his vision of the film in a four-part miniseries on HBO Max. The result of an impressive fan campaign, the 'Release The Snyder Cut' movement was applauded by Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher and Snyder himself before Warner Bros. finally greenlit the project.

With more time to tell the story Snyder wanted to tell, more of the original shoot (instead of the horrid mustache-heavy reshoots), a far more imposing Steppenwolf, the black Superman suit and even bloody Darkseid, Zack Snyder's Justice League could finally offer fans the big-screen team-up that the iconic comic book team deserved the first time around.

Even if it's not perfect, it's clear that it will already be a lot more larger-than-life and coherent than the theatrical cut - and that alone makes it worth seeing.
