10 Ways Doctor Who Changed In 2014

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes.

Change, my dear. And it seems not a moment too soon. 2014 has been another incredible year for Doctor Who and for those of you who were concerned that the series wouldn't be able to maintain its momentum after its 50th anniversary celebrations, hopefully all the timey-wimey action that's gone down over the last 12 months has been enough to prove you wrong. 2014 has proven that the show is as popular and as far reaching as ever and it's a testament to the writers that they're still able to make the show as exciting as it was way back when. A key factor that contributes to Doctor Who's longevity is its ability to change and as always there's been plenty of it this year. The opening titles got a much needed revamp, viewers have been given VIP access behind the scenes in a new online series, the show itself moved to a much more suitable time slot in the autumn and let's not forget the biggest and single most important change of them all - our brand new Doctor. Peter Capaldi made his official debut as the Twelfth Doctor this year and, as the revived series prepares to enter its 10th anniversary year, let's take a closer look at the changes it's endured in 2014. Suffice to say, there's still life in the old Time Lord yet.
