10 Ways Game Of Thrones Has Been "Ruined" Before The Finale

5. Terrible Pacing

This issue is solely the fault of the showrunners who could have opted for more episodes but instead stuck with 6. With so few episodes and so much to cram in, the final season was almost doomed from the start.

Not only are the biggest plot developments like Daenerys' transformation into the Mad Queen and Jaime's return to Cersei rushed... basically everything is. There should definitely have been more than just one fight with the White Walkers and Varys' death is abrupt and jarring considering it feels as though he only just discovered Jon's identity.

These are to name but a few of the numerous areas that do not receive nearly enough screentime. Game of Thrones' earlier seasons had impeccable pacing that made the quieter moments just as unmissable as the action epics. More recent seasons are full of pointless plot threads and underdeveloped twists that in fact tarnish the incredible work done by the crew in creating fantastic action set pieces.
