3. Cersei Lannister
Cersei is one of the few people introduced in the first episode to make it all the way to the final season. The entirety of the time she's been on the show, she's spent close to the iron throne in many ways. She's been queen as the wife of Robert Baratheon and seen her sons inherit the throne before taking it for herself. She's usually been cunning and intelligent in her rule yet this season was nothing short of pitiful.
She spent basically every second she was on the screen staring out into the distance and smiling only for her forces to be decimated instantly with almost no reason. Even before this her inability to capitalise on a defenceless Drogon in episode 4 is almost nothing like the queen who mercilessly destroyed the Great Sept of Baelor with maximum efficiency.
Her death is the most anticlimactic part of all as she and Jaime end their woefully bad arcs in each other's arms and die by being crushed under rubble in a fate undeserving of the ruthless ruler she was. Even being cut down by The Hound prior to Cleganebowl would have been more fitting.
