Renly would've been a fun king, that's for sure, but a true ruler? Not a chance. For starters, he was in no hurry to amble his forces onwards to King's Landing. He wasn't a ruthless war commander like his brother Stannis so even if he had reached the capital, there's no guarantees his enormous forces would've taken it. In terms of the man, Renly is the most likeable on the list, and was genuinely respected by many, but he was all about the light-side of the throne. Would he be willing to get his hands dirty in the name of politics? I'm not so sure. He had an air of naivety and arrogance, with his claim hinging on the fact that he's more popular than Stannis. If Renly had fell in line behind Stannis, the pair could've laughed their way into King's Landing, reconciled with Robb and the North, and Westeros would've began to heal. Unfortunately 'King' Renly wanted to be King Renly.
