11 Awesome Netflix TV Shows (That Aren't Available In The UK)

8. Lost

Who doesn€™t love a bit of classic Lost? The brainchild of Star Trek reboot and Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams, Lost is a drama series with spliced elements of science fiction and the supernatural that follows the survivors of a commercial passenger jet that crash-lands on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean, between Sydney and Los Angeles. Originally airing on ABC back in 2004, the show went on to span six seasons, totalling 121 mind boggling episodes. A typical episode would be made up of a primary island-based storyline sandwiched with flashbacks and flashforwards to give the viewer the broader picture of just what the hell was going on, though even the biggest Lost fan will admit to being seriously confused at some stage. The series was praised for remaining a character-based story, keeping the viewer interested in the people on the island and discovering the mystery of the place through their own tales. Named in TIME magazine€™s Best 100 TV Shows of All Time, the show was critically acclaimed from start to finish, despite a little dip towards the end that even the most hard-nosed of viewers would admit was the show stalling for time. Still, even a decade after it all began the show has the power to leave viewers in a philosophical state of wondering, but will classic Lost ever find its way onto UK Netflix? As John Locke would say, have a little faith.

Phil still hasn't got round to writing a profile yet, as he has an unhealthy amount of box sets on the go.
