11 Netflix Marvel Performances The MCU Needs To Save
6. Misty Knight (Simone Missick)
If there is one thing the Netflix Marvel universe achieved with exemplary fashion, it was creating a strong cast of female characters. And few were stronger than Misty Knight. Let's not forget that she even lost an arm in battle, and after only a brief visit to the hospital and a couple of 'get well soon' balloons, she was back in the game and all souped-up.
It's also another example where replacing the established role with any other performance is simply unacceptable, as Simone Missick ruled the character from start to finish. Misty did a hell of a lot in the comics, and the MCU are missing a trick in passing her by. Her flexibility meant she could turn up in several or more Marvel scenarios, so go figure!
Missick ensured that her portrayal was larger than life. As a part of a Wing/Knight duo, or as a solo crime-fighter, she was destined to bust out of supporting-role status and reach out for something bigger. Should the MCU ever decide to tread this ground, Missick is the one, and her faithful run in the Defender-verse proves it.
