11 TV Shows That Just Got Renewed

Hulu's Love, Simon TV spinoff was a breath of fresh air when it debuted in the summer, and it was also a major step forward in representation. The show - which is set after the film when Simon Spier has become something of a Creekwood High legend - centers on newcomer Victor Salazar who, upon questioning his own sexuality, embarks on a journey of self-discovery (with the help of none other than Simon) as he begins to fall for his openly gay classmate and colleague Benji.

The spinoff's existence caught a lot of people off-guard because Simon was seemingly a one-and-done story but the 10-episode first season quickly justified that existence, showcasing a completely different type of coming-out story than the film did. And that showed in the response - which was overwhelmingly positive as the show was the most binge-watched original on the streamer during its first week than any other this year.

The only thing more refreshing than the show's arrival was the confirmation that it would return for a second installment.
