Starring Richard Burgi, a familiar face who popped up in everything from 2009's Friday the 13th remake to Desperate Housewives, mid nineties sci fi hit The Sentinel saw the character actor who has since carved out a niche as a string of unscrupulous baddies take on a rare heroic central role.
Burgi did well as the titular Sentinel, a former Army man who gained heightened sense superpowers akin to those of the eponymous whilst abandoned in the jungle's depths and naturally utilized these newfound skills to solve all manner of mysteries of the week with the aid of a wisecracking comic relief partner and sparky love interest.
This one lasted a few years before it was forgotten, meaning you've got some back catalogue of corny sort-of-superhero sci-fi to catch up on.
