12 Great Sci-Fi TV Shows The World Forgot

The Langoliers
Warner Bros.

Starring Will and Grace's Debra Messing before that sitcom hit propelled her to bigger stardom, 1998 debut Prey was a better-than-average X-files knock off which was designed to capitalize on the massive success of Chris Carter's famous nineties series.

Messing played an anthropologist who discovered a gene shared by highly accomplished criminals which made them stronger, smarter, and more dangerous than the average human, a dicey premise which doesn't look great in light of the questionable science pushed by policy makers at the time.

Still, sketchy political implications aside, the show was an involving chase to seek out these human predators and had a fairly original premise which deserves to be revisited, even if only to question its ethical implications.

So, was the heroine's master plan to just to eugenics these people out of existence, or...?
