12 Great Simpsons Episodes You'll Never Own (Thanks To Fox)

6. Holidays Of Future Passed

First airing in the twenty-third season of The Simpsons, Holidays Of Future Passed was one of the better "future" themed episodes of the show, which purport to show the Simpson family in the future, with the kids all grown up - always an iffy prospect. Many of these fall flat, but Holidays Of Future Passed had enough jokes that worked to allow fans to overlook the fact that this was to be another non-canon flash forward into a "future" that isn't very realistic.

The chalk outline of Sideshow Bob, and a rake(!), at Moe's Tavern in was absolutely priceless, and one of the many great visual gags in recent Simpsons, and massive brownie points for Grandpa Simpson being cryogenically frozen while waiting for a cure that has already been discovered, because he's a pain and it's cheaper than a nursing home. That scene alone makes the episode.
