12 Great Simpsons Episodes You'll Never Own (Thanks To Fox)

5. E Pluribus Wiggum

The Simpsons - E Pluribus Wiggum
Fox

Ralph Wiggum running for President? Well, in a race where Donald Trump has a decent chance of winning, he might be the preferable option.

In any case, E Pluribus Wiggum aired well before Trump's recent escapades, back in Season 19 of The Simpsons. Guest starring The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, and nominated in the animation category by the Writer's Guild of America, the episode featured Springfield hosting an early presidential primary, in which residents reject all candidates and vote for Ralph Wiggum at Homer's suggestion that they choose the most ridiculous candidate possible.

Which really is silly, but you have to love some of the campaign slogans, like "Pick a Winner" (featuring Wiggum with a finger lodged firmly in his nose).

Ralph hadn't been this funny since "The leprechaun makes me burn things" and the social commentary is spot on. Had Fox stuck to its schedule for the DVD and Blu-Ray sets, this episode would probably have been available to purchase in time for the next election, but sadly, it seems it is forever lost to fans outside of SimpsonsWorld and syndication.
