9. Intrepid-class
Key Appearances: Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges, Star Trek: Voyager The title ship of Star Trek: Voyager was an Intrepid-class, a design that ranked among Starfleet's most advanced ships. Designed for long term exploration missions, the Intrepid-class was smaller and faster than many other ships in Starfleet, measuring 345 meters in length compared to the 641 meter long Galaxy-class. The Intrepid was the fastest ship in Starfleet upon first being commissioned and also featured some of the best navigational and computer systems of any ship in the Quadrant. The operational capabilities of the vessel were proven when the U.S.S Voyager completed its unplanned seven year return across the Delta Quadrant, accomplishing the mission without any assistance from Starfleet. Obviously the Intrepid was featured prominently in Star Trek: Voyager and remains one of the most memorable ships in Star Trek.
