Hondo Ohnaka is something of a wild card in The Clone Wars. Part Han Solo, part Captain Jack Sparrow, Hondo is a pirate lord who is both hilarious and selfishly evil. On The Clone Wars audiences are mainly shown his sarcastic, witty side, and he is developed further in Rebels.

He has a threatening charm which can either make him a dangerous enemy or a powerful ally, and though he isn't around nearly as much as he should have been, his small role is nonetheless the height of entertainment.

Watching him trade barbs with the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and even Count Dooku is incredible fun.

His sweetest relationship is with the Jedi youngling, Katooni, whom he helps during an attack from General Grievous. Their silent farewell to one another is one of the show's most subtle and sweeter moments, and the fact that the pirate named his ship after her some time after is all the information needed to rank the bad guy this high.
