Asajj Ventress was a treat to watch. She was slimy, evil and strong, and could have been another one-note villain with little baggage. But below her hate and her anger, Ventress is one of the show's most complex figures. A Sith assassin trained in the ways of the Dark Side by Count Dooku, she was very powerful and able to defeat some of the galaxy's best warriors.

But as the show unfolded, so did the wayward assassin. Left for dead by her old master, Ventress is finally free and becomes the kind of character fans knew she could be.

Sure, watching her play assassin to Dooku was exciting and devilishly fun, but once she breaks free of his influence she becomes so much more entertaining and likeable. You end up rooting for her as the show progresses, and her arc is massively rewarding to watch.

Ventress was meant to get one last story, but the show was cancelled before it got the chance, later being told in the novel Dark Disciple. Still, she looks and sounds cool, and her witty, playful moments with Obi-Wan are always a blast to see.
