13 Earth-Shattering Doctor Who Moments From The Last 10 Years
2. The Curator (The Day Of The Doctor)
You had probably already guessed that this one would make it to the list of Doctor Who's most Earth-shattering events because it's one that fans still remember experiencing to this day. It wasn't all that long ago, of course, but time has no effect when it concerns the continuing impact of momentous moments such as this. Just when you thought that The Day of the Doctor could shock us no more, fans of the new and old series alike were left flabbergasted by the unannounced appearance of Doctor Who veteran Tom Baker as part of the 50th anniversary's far reaching festivities. This surprise cameo of the man who is still universally adored for his portrayal of the titular Time Lord's fourth - arguably most popular, and certainly most recognisable - incarnation was one that was met with a resounded cheer from the fans who were watching the drama unfold via the show's simultaneous screenings around the world. For many it was an unexpected but appreciated blast from the past and for the rest of us it was the return of one of the show's most popular Doctors. For everyone, it was a truly unforgettable tribute to the show's long lasting legacy. Has anyone else suddenly got the urge for a Jelly Baby?
