4. When Will The Show Get Axed? - Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The last few years have been truly spectacular for the Marvel franchise. We have been slapped with more superhero films than we have time to watch - I'm not complaining. The Avengers franchise managed to hit the ground running and set a very high standard for all future comic superhero films and TV series. When The Avengers film hit the big screens it left many viewers wanting more. There is more to come in the Marvel cinematic universe, but I doubt many people thought that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was going to fill the gaps between the new releases. S.H.I.E.L.D has tried to squeeze the epic quality of the films down into TV format, and it hasn't done it very well. The show feels a lot like a Marvel self-indulgence that doesn't really give us anything exciting to hook onto. The Marvel films are enough to keep the franchise alive. Hopefully Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will run its course soon.
