13 Most Compelling Backstories In The Walking Dead

6. Noah

Although he was only on the show a brief while, there was something about Noah - a sense of humanity - that resonated. Or maybe it's just tiresome to see the black characters constantly getting offed as if there was some sort of semi-official "there can't be too many black characters" rule on the show. Either way, Noah was a solid addition to the cast. We saw him return home, and that was heartbreaking, but a flashback to his time in the early days of the outbreak, and how he managed to survive as long as he did, would have gone a long way to hammer his backstory home. Sadly, since he has shuffled off this mortal coil, fans will no longer get a chance to see that.
