15 Anime To Binge After Attack On Titan Ends

9. Berserk

Demon Slayer
OLM, Inc.

On the surface, this series might seem like something you've seen before, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Berserk is a dark fantasy that balances shock and tenderness mesmerisingly and weaves a rich tapestry of storytelling on both grand and intimate levels. Talk about profound.

Berserk follows the adventures of Guts the swordsman, a mercenary who will fight for anyone with the right coin but never stays in the same place for too long. However, that changes after he runs into the charismatic Griffith, leader of The Band Of The Hawk. From there, Guts becomes part of his unit and battles against enemies, monsters and destiny itself.

Berserk is based on a long-running manga and has a few adaptations. While there is a movie trilogy and series that tells a lot more of the story, your best bet is to go with the original 1997 series that only ran for one season.

It's true that you won't get the whole story. But, it's about the journey, not the destination, and the journey this anime will take you on is full of horror, humour and sentimentality. It is genuinely one of a kind, and has one of the best (and most shocking) endings in anime history.
