15 Best Sci-Fi TV Shows Of The 2010s

6. The Flash

Very few shows in the history of television have managed to blend elements of superhero and science fiction together as seamlessly as The Flash has. Yes, that might have something to do with the fact that the protagonist is a CSI that hangs out with his buddies in a scientific research facility, but it's also down to the show's expert use of everything that makes sci-fi so great.

Barry Allen's quest to track down the mysterious speedster that killed his mother when he was a child led him down an unexpected path in which he ultimately became the very same thing - and just like that, The Flash was born.

Like many shows, the Arrowverse series has experienced a number of ups and downs over its now-six-year run, but it's hard to deny that it hasn't been an absolute blast watching Barry transition into the greatest superhero currently on TV - and his adventures through time, into parallel dimensions and against telepathic gorillas make it an absolute must-watch for fans of the genre. And on top of all that, it produced one of the greatest first seasons in TV history.
