15 Best Sci-Fi TV Shows Of The 2010s

7. The Walking Dead

There's been much debate as to whether or not The Walking Dead does actually fall into the realm of science fiction and it's a debate that will no doubt find its way into the comment section of this article - but the fact that it's even up for debate is more than enough reason to consider it, and the fact that it's still one of the biggest shows in the world is reason enough to include it.

Rick Grimes' venture into the unknown world of undead monsters has produced some stunning television over the past decade as we've followed him and the survivors, growing attached to them (against our better judgment) and rooting for them even in the deadliest of circumstances. All attempts to scientifically explain the zombie apocalypse haven't produced any results so, with violence aplenty and no end in sight, the show is set to continue enticing viewers well into the next decade.

It may have outstayed its welcome, but that's only because of the loss of some major characters over the years (some unavoidable, others unnecessary) have left it feeling obsolete these days. In spite of that, it would be ridiculous to overlook the level of success that this titan of television achieved in its near-decade-long prime.
