15 Greatest TV Villains Of 2014 So Far

11. Slade Wilson (Arrow)

"To kill you now would be a mercy. You cannot die until you have suffered the same way I have suffered, until you have known complete despair, and you will, I promise."
The above quote is a prime example of what a nice chap Slade Wilson truly is, but with a codename like Deathstroke, it€™s not hard to guess his moral sway. The masterstroke in his villainous scheme is revealed via a series of flashbacks, during which he served as a mentor to Oliver Queen (the hero, Arrow) - helping him to acquire necessary combat skills. Later he would emerge as Arrow€™s worst nightmare. Albeit in a fancy costume. What€™s genius is his transformation from friend to foe. Seeking revenge on Arrow, who was directly responsible for the death of his love, Shado, Deathstroke assembles a battle plan to completely devastate poor Oliver. He kidnaps his younger sister, Thea, which in itself is horrific - but then he manipulates her against her brother by telling her Oliver lied to her about her parents. He then outs Oliver to Laurel, and gets his comrade on the police force, Officer Lance chucked in the cells. All in all, it€™s a menacing streak for the sweet bliss of revenge. Who better an enemy than one you thought was an ally?
