15 Most Anticipated Horror TV Shows Of 2025

2. The Last Of Us Season 2

It Welcome to Derry Chris Chalk
HBO

For those who've played The Last of Us Part II, anticipation is extremely high for the second season of HBO's The Last of Us TV series - for that upcoming season will pull plenty from the second Last of Us video game.

Of course, key to The Last of Us Part II is the introduction of Abby, an exceptionally motivated soldier on her own highly personal mission of revenge and vengeance. Here, Dopesick's Kaitlyn Dever is taking on that Abby role, with so many questions hinging on just how much The Last of Us Season 2 will follow the same path as the source material. In that source material, Abby is arguably the most important piece of the puzzle, so it's safe to assume that Dever will have plenty of heavy lifting to do in this second season.

Sticking with the Last of Us Part II theme, this new season will also bring in Dina (Isabela Merced), Jesse (Young Mazino), and Manny (Danny Ramirez), plus will have Jeffrey Wright pick up his Isaac Dixon role from that second video game, and the fantastic Catherine O'Hara will also pop up in a supporting role.

As it stands, The Last of Us Season 2 is expected to premiere in April.
