HBO launched a few new comedy series last year, and perhaps the most acclaimed among them was Insecure. Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, and partially based on Rae's web series Awkward Black Girl, it explores the lives of two black females - Issa (Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji) - and the social and racial issues they face.

The series won a lot of praise for its handling of those issues, as well as its razor sharp wit, with Rae winning the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy.

It's been fast tracked back - the first season debuted in October - which is a sign of HBO's faith in it, and it should prove it wasn't a one-trick wonder. And, of course, it has to deal with the relationship status of Issa and Lawrence, which fans have been desperate for answers to after the Season 1 finale.

Premiere Date: July 23
