15 Star Trek LEGO Sets Everyone Wants
4. USS Voyager
This writer does not require the landing legs as a feature. Let that be stated from the off!
Yes, USS Voyager is a must. The size works perfectly for a big scale collector's build that would have to accommodate the rising nacelles, as well as a mini Delta Flyer or Cochrane to sit on the shuttle dock, and 19 shuttles to go in the bay.
One thing that would set this one apart would be a dockable AeroShuttle. Oft-mentioned but never seen (although technically it's in every episode), surely it's time for the craft to shine in Lego form. Also, why not hide a little yellow "hollow" pip somewhere in the build for Harry to find...
Voyager is also a ship that could be extensively externally modified. Add in some green elements to the set, and there's the option to Borg the Intrepid Class vessel. Add in other pieces, and it's the Warship from Living Witness. The Lego Group offers those kinds of avenues that no other product can really fulfil when it comes to Star Trek. To create a Year of Hell version, fans need only remove a few key pieces here and there to give it that battered look.
The set would have to include the full crew here. Seven, pre or post Borgified, Janeway (with her coffee cup) and Harry with his Clarinet. We can't wait to see how a Neelix would work out, and given the right pieces, you would technically be able to create Tuvix!
