15 Star Trek LEGO Sets Everyone Wants

3. Multi-Build

The Lego Group's Technic range allowed builders to construct one of three different models from the included parts. Star Trek could easily spin this off with an Enterprise or Federation starship range.

With instructions for a smaller set of ships, three classes per set would be sure to engage fans' interests. One day it's the USS Enterprise, and the next day it's time to dismantle and build the USS Pegasus or the Sutherland. Why not try your own kitbash with this set and make a ship worthy of joining the fleet during the Dominion War? If it works with the Federation, there's always the Klingons or Romulans to offer up a second or third range. One day it's a Vor'Cha, the next it's a Negh'Var!

Fans could then build their fleet, a ship at a time. Sets that may struggle as stand-alones, like the Oberth, Nebula, or Freedom-class ships, would suit this multi-build format.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
