15 Star Trek LEGO Sets Everyone Wants

11. Enterprise-D Bridge

An accompanying bridge set for The Lego Group's USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D set would be the perfect partner and ideal for somewhere to drop in your minifigs from the ship build. There's more to this one, with the possibility to include either a Generations-themed crew in their Deep Space Nine jumpsuits or go for a full-on Picard season three team.

In that vein, the set could also come with a modular build to add in the extra consoles for Generations, which sit on the ramp. As with The Lego Group's Gameboy, this could also include a changeable screen representing different scenarios from the series.  Imagine the slide-out chairs for the rear stations and the whooshy turbolift doors. The big challenge is how to make the Tactical horseshoe work without turning out blocky and angular.

The Lego Group's foray into voice bricks with their recent Soundwave Transformer provides the opportunity to add in sound effects from the series and even a lighting effect to move up to red alert. There might even be a few Easter Eggs dotted about: a copy of Shakespeare's plays, a maraca from Q or consoles showing details from specific episodes.

A bonus on this one would be the inclusion of Picard's Ready Room and aquarium for Livingston. Where else will the good captain be able to get a brew?

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
