5. It's All Good, Man - Better Call Saul

For four seasons, we've been watching the tragic decline of Jimmy McGill. We know where the Better Call Saul lead ends up, but the whys and hows of that have proved to be as agonising as they are gripping.

Season 4 doesn't end with the transformation complete, but it does take us closer than ever before. After successfully having his ban from practising law overturned, Jimmy reveals to Kim the sociopathic side to him that's been growing stronger over the years.

Manically talking about how he's cheated the system, and that his big emotional speech was all just a lie, Kim is left horrifed as Jimmy walks off to re-register under a different name, telling her: "It's all good, man."

It's something we knew was coming, but that doesn't make it any less bitter a pill to swallow, and the show is all the better as a result. With expert delivery from Bob Odenkirk, who knows how to put just enough Saul into the performance, it's a huge turning point that likely takes us towards the series' devastating end.
