The poor man's Jason Statham, Dyer has something of a reputation for bad film-making - which is like saying Nic Cage doesn't always make the best career decisions - and he revealed to TV chat show host Jonathan Ross that he has auditioned unsuccessfully three times for the show, including for the role of Pyper.
