The DC properties across both TV and the movies can be incredibly confusing to follow, from the DCEU and the upcoming kind of sequel, kind of reboot of the Suicide Squad and where The Batman will stand, to having to keep up with a number of shows to fully understand Crisis on Infinite Earths. One thing that remains constant however, is the importance and legacy of Superman.

It is the biggest name in all of superhero lore, and with incredible portrayals from the likes of Brandon Routh, Christopher Reeve, and Henry Cavill before him, Tyler Hoechlin had his work cut out for him.

Through his few performances across the Arrowverse shows, the actor has portrayed the character in a reminscent light to that of Reeve, gaining incredible plaudits along the way. As something of a stark contrast to Henry Cavill's Man of Steel, Hoechlin's refreshing performance has seen not only the order of the Superman and Lois series, but also calls for the actor to replace Cavill's iteration in the DCEU.

While Hoechlin's version may not suit the gritty landscape of the DCEU, he has certainly created a version of the character that perfectly fits within the Arrowverse next to the character's cousin.
