Arrow's younger sibling has managed to not only catch up with its big brother, but actually overtake it this year. I suppose it helps when you have the Fastest Man Alive on your side. In terms of Season 2 so far compared to Arrow's Season 4, they're pretty equal, but The Flash wins out by virtue of having an excellent year as a whole, with a thrilling conclusion to its debut season. It manages to be exciting and tense, with some fantastic action scenes and visual effects far better than anyone would expect from a show on The CW (not only did they successfully create Grodd, a huge telepathic gorilla, but then gave us a fleeting glimpse of King Shark, a giant man-shark character). Importantly, it pulls all of this off while never losing the sense of fun that made it stand out in the first place, and there's an awful lot of humour (thanks Cisco) and heart (Joe West, ladies and gentlemen) to go with a superhero action.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
