During the last season of That 70s Show, most episodes couldn’t go without including a household name as a guest star (perhaps as a way of distracting from the series’ significant decline). But of the best celebrities to salvage the final moments of the show was Mary Tyler Moore as the strict TV executive Christine St. George.

Moore kickstarted her career in the 1950s and grew more and more successful, eventually getting her own tv show in the 1970s “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”. One of the most revolutionary shows at the time, it revolved around an empowered woman in a male-heavy industry. Mary achieved several accolades for her performance on the show.

Likewise, in a feminist sitcom set in the 70s, the character Christine is portrayed as a head-strong, independent, charismatic woman at the top of her game.
