20 Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice In American Horror Story

15. Dr Charles's Son Was The Lindbergh Baby

Dr Charles Montgomery is not the sort of guy you'd want as a doctor. A €œsurgeon to the stars€ who appears in flashback during the first season, the man who built the Murder House was a bit of a sicko with a Frankenstein complex who stitched the assorted body parts of animals together, and became addicted to ether. To be fair, he did have a bit of a troubled life. Falling on hard times, he starts offering illegal abortions in his basement; one woman's boyfriend finds out, is more than a little ticked off, and in revenge kidnaps Montgomery's own son. The boy eventually dies, only to be resurrected by Charles as a sort of terrifying monster baby. Up until that point, the whole episode had been an obvious reference to the Lindbergh baby. The infamous case saw the eldest son of aviator Charles Lindbergh being kidnapped from their family home in New Jersey in 1932. Montgomery's got the same first name as Lindbergh, and his monster child's outfit is based on the Lindbergh baby's.
