Famous for its long list of guest stars that includes Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell and Don Johnson, Eastbound & Down is a unique and irreverent comedy that made a star out of co-creator Danny McBride who perfected his obnoxious persona here before standing out in This is the End.
Whilst on the surface, it does seem like a broad, bawdy comedy that has typified the last decade in comedic cinema, Eastbound & Down does have a lightness of touch and is smart enough to know when to play it a little more serious.
