20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Arrow

4. Liam Neeson Was Up For Reprising His Role As Ra's Al Ghul

Liam Neeson€™s portrayal of Batman€™s timeless nemesis in Batman Begins has been the source of so much praise, and the Taken star revealed a few months ago that the producers only needed to ask him if they want him to reprise the hugely popular role. This would have connected the show to Nolan€™s successful trilogy, and given that Geoff Johns - one of the top people at DC - wants to keep the TV and movie universes separate, this was sadly unlikely to become a reality. Arrow€™s depiction of R€™as al Ghul appeared on screen recently, and while the influences of Nolan€™s film are clear €“ the look of the League€™s base and the snowy mountaintop certainly draw from the Batman reboot €“ but there are many differences between the characters. In Arrow the League of Assassins leader seems to have a reluctance towards wearing a shirt, and he looks considerably younger and more battle worn than the Irish action star. Having said that, it would still have been absolutely amazing to see Neeson reprise the character, and fans would have been frozen in shock had this happened.
