20 Mind-Blowing Facts You Never Knew About Breaking Bad

10. The Most Viewed Episode Was Felina

AMC

Unlike most dramas, which tend to decrease in popularity as they go on, Breaking Bad only got bigger. Through most of its run the show was bringing in a steady average viewership of 1.5 million, which for a dark drama on AMC is pretty impressive, but as it entered its last season things began to pick up. The first half of Season 5 saw audience numbers jump by a million and once it entered its final run the series was readily breaking 5 million, with the finale bringing in a whopping 10.28 million.

Final episodes tend to see a ratings spike, but not to six times the Season 1 average. Thanks to strong word-of-mouth and easy access through Netflix the show grew from a niche cable show in a mainstream hit, with more and more people catching up as Walter White's journey rushed towards its conclusion.
