20 More TV Shows That Are Practically Flawless
2. Succession
Three seasons in, and Succession has already proved itself to be an all-timer. Madly popular with both audiences and critics, it's a dysfunctional family drama with more dark humour, searing performances and shocks than perhaps any other series currently on-air.
Starring Brian Cox as an ageing media mogul Logan Roy, the show follows Logan's children as they battle for control of his company. Between immature middle child Roman (Kieran Culkin), political fixer Shiv (Sarah Snook), and ambitious heir apparent Kendall (Jeremy Strong), a battle of wills soon erupts.
For all its shocking plot twists, backstabbing and family melodrama, Succession is wildly funny in parts, and even bittersweet at times thanks to the core group's genuinely caring - if rocky - relationships. Energetic and bold, it seems destined to go from strength-to-strength in the coming years.
