Based on the real-life Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling promotion, which ran in Las Vegas back in the 1980s, GLOW is one of Netflix's best surprises: its premise allows for it to have an absolute riot both in and out of the ring, but it also offers up some brilliant, poignant character work too.

Through two seasons its grown in confidence as a show, becoming more inventive with its plotlines, and all the funnier and more entertaining as a result. Season 2 left things well poised for the future too, with the decision to relocate the show-within-a-show from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

Going to the real-life promotion's home, and just including the Vegas setting itself, should setup much bigger and even better things to come in Season 3.
