20 Things You Totally Missed In The Walking Dead

14. Wolves Not Far

The Walking Dead Johnny Depp

The Walking Dead has no issue when it comes to hitting audiences with foreshadowing. Throughout season five, the majority of the foreshadowing is centred around the Wolves, who would serve as the show's primary antagonists in the first half of season six.

When the group head to Noah's community in season five, a wall behind Michonne reads: "Wolves not far." Throughout Alexandria, Carl finds and reads comics called Wolf Fight (already touched on as a reference to Robert Kirkman), and the attack on Alexandria is clearly foreshadowed with the destruction of Noah's old home.

The most obvious example of the Wolves being referenced is seen when Daryl and Aaron (Ross Marquand) are on the trail of a man in red poncho, who is always one step ahead of them and is eventually killed by the Wolves, symbolising Red Riding Hood. Only, y'know, in a much more traumatising manner.
