20 TV Villain Performances That Are Practically Flawless

8. Michael Hogan - Gerard Argent (Teen Wolf)

Teen Wolf is far from high art, but it still had many strengths, the biggest of which is certainly the work of its cast. Not only did Teen Wolf kick start the career of Dylan O'Brien, but it also gave us one of TV's best and most criminally underrated villains.

Gerard Argent, the patriarch of the Argent werewolf hunting family, is introduced in the show's second season, and without missing a beat proves to be the show's most horrendous figure.

Played with a cold demeanor by Michael Hogan, Argent is tough despite his age, willing to betray his own family for his own self-interest and kill teenagers who he believes pose a threat without evidence.

Hogan's performance is snarling, creepy, invasive, deceptive and sinister, and whenever he was around you could always count yourselves in for some of Teen Wolf's most compelling drama.
