9. The TARDIS Is The Driver

In instances too numerous to count, the Doctor and his companions seem to end up in a location or a time that they were not intending to be. In almost all these cases, the Doctor finds that his help is needed to protect or save the local population from some universal terror. In the episode 'he Doctor's Wife, viewers discovered the reasoning for the occurance happening so often. As it turns out, it wasn't the Doctor's fault after all, bur rather the TARDIS. As Idris, who contained the soul of the police box, stated to the Doctor: "I don't always bring you where you want to go, but I bring you to where you are needed." That said, fans have the Doctor's oldest companion to thank for many of his adventures in time and space. Lesson Learned: Perhaps at times it's best to go where you're needed rather than where you want to go. If your best friend just broke up with their significant other, you should probably go cheer them up instead of going to pick up that new video game that just got released. Speaking of best friends...
