Star Trek The Next Generation Suspicions Patti Yasutake
CBS Media Ventures

Patti Yasutake appeared in many episodes of The Next Generation and in both Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact, each time as Nurse Alyssa Ogawa.

Yasutake got her start in theatre, working with the East West Players in Los Angeles, before she began directing. Her career would take her into film, as well as many other television shows. She remembered her casting on The Next Generation, in the episode Future Imperfect. As everyone in that episode had been aged-up, she was convinced that she couldn't be brought back - yet she was, mere episodes later.

She appeared in an ad for the Hallmark Star Trek ornaments, before eventually receiving her own action figure, courtesy of Diamond Select. In recent years, she appeared as Joseph Lee's mother on Beef.

In 2017, when speaking about her experience in Star Trek, she felt that her appearances in the show would keep her 'young forever', and that it was something she cherished in her career.

She was 70 years old when she died.
